60-year-old man injured in crash after cargo falls from truck near LaGrange

A 60-year-old LaGrange man suffered minor injuries following a crash Friday afternoon on Highway C, about half a mile west of LaGrange, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 4:50 p.m. on April 25, 2025. Authorities reported that a 1979 Chevrolet Silverado truck, driven eastbound by the LaGrange man, was struck by cargo that became dislodged from a westbound 2002 Chevrolet Silverado truck. The 68-year-old Durham woman driving the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was not injured.

The LaGrange man, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by private vehicle to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois, for treatment of minor injuries. The woman was also wearing a seat belt.

The 1979 Chevrolet Silverado sustained moderate damage and was to be removed by the owner. The 2002 Chevrolet Silverado sustained no damage and was driven from the scene.

The LaGrange Fire Department and the Lewis County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
